Crochet is not just for old people, this is an image which has long been replaced by the reality that most people who are now doing crochet are in the prime of life and not as some think just old people practicing a dying art.
Crochet will teach your children how to Focus, how to set goals and how to achieve those goals, and bring with a sense of purpose and beleif which is often lacking in todays world.
As with most things we need to start slow and easy so let them begin just practising some knots and the basic stitches. then move on to some squares which are easy to make quick to accomplish and can be sewn together to create that all important family blanket.
Maybe they will be able to do a Crochet Hat in time for winter.
